Kalatul Lucknowies is a store that brings you elegant ethnic apparel featuring the timeless art of Lucknowi Chikankari embroidery. Our collection is carefully curated from the narrow lanes of Lucknow, where thousands of skilled artisans continue to preserve and carry forward this beautiful legacy through intricately handcrafted kurtis.

The idea of opening this retail store was born during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. One day, one of my house helps broke down in tears after her husband lost his job. Sadly, this was not an isolated incident; many families were facing similar struggles during that time.

Being originally from Lucknow and now settled in Vadodara, I have always had a deep love for wearing and gifting Lucknowi kurtis. For a long time, I had dreamt of bringing this beautiful craft to the people of Vadodara, who lovingly refer to it as the “Lucknowi Kurti.”

This passion, combined with the need to support families affected by job losses, inspired the idea of opening an offline retail store. Our aim was not only to share the beauty of Chikankari with Barodians but also to create employment opportunities for women so they could support their families.

With immense love and support from the citizens of Vadodara, our journey has grown stronger. Today, we are excited to take the next step by launching ourselves on an online platform through our website.
